Australia is one of the largest country on Earth, it is the only country in the world that covers a whole continent. But even though it is very big and has a lot of natural resources, more than a third of Australia is just dessert.
Australia's famous outback contains the country's largest deserts, where the temperatures are very high and there is little water and almost no vegetation. Most of Australia's cities and farms are located in the Southeast and Southwest part of Australia. Over there the climate is warm but not as hot as in the desert. In Northeast Australia there are very dense rain forests.
Australia is a very dangerous country because it has harmful animals, like crocodiles and snakes and a lot of other dangerous creatures, there are many ways to be killed. But in spite of the danger, more than 80% of the population lives within 100 kilometers off the coast. Australia is also one of the most urbanized and coast-dwelling population in the world.
